- Butterfly Plecos which are known as L168, shows primary colours that are black and yellow. However these fish have the unique capability of camouflaging themselves to different backgrounds. This means that the colour of the fish changes based on the background you use
- They are the only plecos that can be imported to Australia.
- Like most plecos they are nocturnal as well. They prefer to stay out of light during the day and come out to explore during the night.
- They are an omnivorous species and prefer to eat protein rich frozen / pellet food although they need to be supplemented with algae wafers or fresh zuchini (veges) at least twice a week.
- They can grow to around 15cm+ and will be comfortable at 24-29C degree soft water with a pH of 6.5 to 7.5.
